I need some advice re: where to locate raised beds in my front yard. We back up to a wooded ravine which is a highway for the deer to forage in our neighborhood. We are a typical suburban neighborhood - houses built in 1960's with yardage to go along with that genre.
Also, should I inform my more conservative neighbors of our plans? We always have a well-kept yard and gardens (annuals and perennials) so that should pull in our favor.
Any info, thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Some suburbs are sticklers, and don't allow gardens in your front yard. However, as long as the veggies are in raised beds (like flower planters) there shouldn't be any problem with where you put them, as long as it's well maintained and orderly.

Raised beds with deer aound sounds like trouble. Get four old 4 ft boards and screw them onto the outside of the raised beds. then cover with pig fencing or something like it. Then screw that onto the boards and snip some entrances soyou can reach your veggis close them with a wire fastner. Good luck and tell your neighbors to gro a garden Happy Gardening
